IMM 5406 form

My father is a principal applicant and my mother is his spouse, and I'm their daughter is the sponsor. My dad has a son from 1st marriage who is 48 years old, who is married and lives in the different country not in Canada and not in the country where my parants are immigrating, does my half brother needs to identify himself in any way and fill out IMM 5476? If yes what documents my half brother needs to provide to support his identity? Do I need to fill out IMM5406 as well as I'm a sponsor and show my half brother in the form as well. If we all start filling out the same form there is a lot of duplication? So it is quite confusing who needs to fill out IMM 5406 just my mom and my dad, or myself and my half brother as well, please confirm

hi,

just the applicants need to fill out form 5406. it is not for the sponsor to fill out. when the form says "family members", this refers ONLY to family members included in the app, so only your mother AND father need to fill out the forms. their informaiton would be slightly different from eachother.

as for your half-brother. i don't think he needs to identify himself or fill out any forms because he is not seeking sponsorship, is too old to be considered a dependant, and at this point is not eligible for sponsorship. your father does need to identify him on his 5406 form though.

I need help in the same point. Did you fill two separate forms for your mom and dad. If yes,
did you put your mom as applicant in her own form? Please help.
