IMM 1344Form changed

Hi,

I have already filled out IMM 1344, and had been to India to collect her signature on this form. However, now I look at CIC website, and the form has changed, they have now added a new section for co-signer.

This section doesn't apply to me anyways, so can I submit my original which didn't include co-signer section, or should I do the form again, and mail it to my wife for her to sign and mail it back to me? Please advise.

I hate to say this, but...the safest option is to submit the new form.

Even though the new section does not pertain to a spousal sponsorship application, the person at CIC that opens up your application (to check for completeness, before issuing AOR) may not be aware that it doesn't apply to you. If s/he returns your application because of this, you'll wish you had taken the time now.

In case you decide to use the new form, you don't have to mail it to your wife. She can print the filled form, sign and mail it to you. You can sign it when you receive it.
