If PA is out of job for about 2 years before final documents submission

Hello,
My querry from all of you is that if the Principal applicant who has more than 15 years work experience before, but is out of job as my wife who is the principal applicant is, as we have moved to Middle east and she is on my visa , will the application be rejected or does she looses points? we have been told to submit the final set of documents, but the agent now says recent employment is must else the application will be rejected. Is it true, What can we do in this case?

I need an urgent reply as I have got a final call from London office to submit my final papers but my agent says without recent job / employment the visa can be rejected...Please let me knw if thats true?
