Hi everyone,

I have been a university professor in my country for 16 years. Here not all universities or departments within the same university require a PhD degree (they do require a Master´s and research articles in refereed journals). I am presently Associate professor and have already submitted three promotion theses and have presented research at national and international conferences. I have taught both undergraduate and graduate courses.

Should I apply as a university professor (NOC 4121) or as a college professor (NOC 4131) ?

When I submitted the forms for the simplified process, I wrote 4121 because that´s what I really am right now. But since I have been asked to hand in my documents, I wonder if I should write a note and attach it to that form (IMM 008 schedule 3) explaining that I am currently 4121 but would probably be 4131 in Canada.

Thanks in advance for your advice and suggestions.
Best,
Bee

Hi, BeeBee,

so what was the answer?

You applied under what NOC?

BR/FK.
