Hi, i wrote ielts test and got 5.5. I read sometimes that the cut off mark is 6.0 I dont know if I cant still go ahead with the application or what is the way forward? Pls can somebody help out

If you got 5.5 in any of the abilities then you are not eligible to apply under Federal Skilled Worker Program. Yes, the cut-off is 6.0 per ability.
