Hi
I want to know something. The CIC requirements for language for FSWP is CLB 7 and which is equivalent to IELTS 6 band (each in listening, reading, writing and speaking) according to this page.
The score calculated by CIC CRS tool was 462 when i put IELTS result (listening 8,reading 7,writing 7,speaking 7) and this is equivalent to CLB 9.

Please help me understand the difference of it. Why my score for CRS goes down if i input 6 band each of IELTS (which is equivalent to CLB 7). I have to get (8,7,7,7) which is CLB 9 for the CRS to be eligible for FSWP.

This is the link for conversion of IELTS to CLB which i followed.

Are you asking about the technicality of how the language tests (IELTS, CELPIP and TEF) are translated to CLB or are you asking why the CRS score drops down a significant amount if your CLB is less than 9?

These pages may help you understand the technicality of the Canadian Language Benchmark system:
http://www.language.ca/index.cfm?Voir=sections&Id=17397&M=4032&Repertoire_No=2137991327

If you're talking about the CRS score dropping, look closely at the way the skills transferability (section C) is scored- you can lose up to 50 points as the two options are education/work experience with CLB 7 versus CLB 9:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

Hope this helps
