Hi All,

Speaking 8.5
List:6.5
Reading :7.0
Writing :5.5

Over all 7.0

Now my query is, that i claimed 16 points for IELTS but offcourse i am not upto the mark, my points are still over 67, my question is considering this score, should i reappear in IELTS coz i'm concerned that Immigration Offcier might call me for interview due to poor score in listening and writing, if Leon, Rupali or BCGuy can pls. respond !!! cheers

I guess, calling for an interview as always at the discret of Immigration Officer. So, getting good markes in IELTS, cant help elimination of interview. Your luck may work well!

I would suggest "prepare for the Best and Ready for the worst".

Good Luck..

Let's see what my great seniors are of the view.

No cause for alarm. As long as you score over 67, you should be fine. You will not be called for an interview to assess your Language capabilities. However, you may be called for an interview for any other reason for which the IO responsible for your case finds "doubtful".

I think you don't have any problem and you don't need to be interviewed.
In the letter that I received from Warsaw is stated: "Under no circumstance will an officer conduct an interview to assess language proficiency".

You already score 8.5 band in Speaking of IELTS. It shows you can speak well. There is no mean to take your interview. I think they will not call you for interview....

Best of Luck

As mentioned by other senior members, the interview is a decision made by the IO. It depends on that person whether you would be called for an interview or not. IELTS score is not a guarantee for interview waiver, eventhough going by the historical trend that almost all the people witha good score on IELTS have not been called for an interview.

Anyway be prepared and no need to panic and take IELTS again. Your score is above 67.

All the best.

the scores are like this:
listening:above 7.5 - 4 points
reading above 6.5 - 4 points
writing above 6.5 -4 points
speaking above 6.5 -4 points
so you have a total of 12 points.

you got 16 points not 12 good luck
