IELTS score for Canadian PR

Dear all,

Recently, I have got my IELTS score (General Training) as follows: Listening= 7.5, Writing=7, Speaking=7, Reading=5. My question is, since my score in Reading is '5' (i.e. less than 6), am I eligible to apply for Canadian PR?

Thanks coolguy2010 for your valuable info. So what is the minimum score required in Reading section? If I am correct, minimum requirement is '5.5' in reading.

no the minimum is 6 in all aspect. i advise you retake the exam.

Hi!

Four your guide, please read this.. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/language-testing.asp and this.. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/factor-language.asp

For first official language you must meet the minimum score of CLB Level 7 in all four areas. (IELTS equivalent R=6, W=6, L=6,S=6).-- this will give you 4 points in each area.
For second official language you must the minimum score of CLB Level 5 in all four areas. (IELTS equivalent R=4, W=5, L=5,S=5) -- if you want to get 4 points.
