IELTS on 25th of Sep

Anybody has taken the IELTS exam on 25th of September, 2010? My wife has taken. Please share how was that?

how was the test? even i have done my test today. I found speaking hard compared to all subject as i could not build up words on time and took long time to reply,

I gave IELTS in Port of Spain on 25th. Reading part was easy. Listening was bit difficult at the end. I think time management for writing is a must. To my fellow test takers, pls. practice writing session within 60 min. time limit. Speaking was also okay but talking for a minute or minute and a half could be difficult when the subject is something that you have never thought of. But overall, it was okay.

I took the test on Sep 25th in LA.
The result was different from what I was expecting.
I consider myself speaking ability is the worst generally.
But on the test the topic was easy for me and my sales skill worked.
I could make a good conversation with examiner.
Listening last part was very difficult. Writing 2nd topic was hard to make essay. Reading so, so.
And I received my score last week.
Listening 6 Reading 6 Writing 6.5 Speaking 7.5 and overall 6.5.
I expected my reading score was a little bit higher.
Anyway I'll retake test again.

When u r taking the test? i have sent u the link from where u can download IELTS books for free. Download Kaplan IELTS besides cambridge series casue i found the book very very informative & secured 16 points from IELTS.

That's true. Kaplan's book is far better than Cambridge's.

I also secured overall 7.5 practicing for only 3 days using that great book.

U must have heard about 20000 cap. so, if u can sit for IELTS in OCT then go for it...

I alreday have a job offer. So I don't have to worry about cap. My lawyer also recommended me to retake test asap. Anyway I cannot schedule for the test this month. So I'll take next month.

Are you saying that 6.5 is not good enough? Or it may not take you to your promised land? I think a 6.5 band (12 points) in your own case is okay unless if you really need a higher score to catch up with 67 points.

I scored 6.5 band also but am not re-taking the exam as am 78 poits already and my profession is Financial Manager.

I can't access the free test. There's survery required. And I took 1, but it didn't allow me to download the free test.

You have so much better points than I do. I don't know exactly how much points I have now. But according to my lawyer, my points barely meet menimum points. Since there's so many applicants for skilled worker category, I'd better have extra points from English. So I'm trying.
