No vital, if u go through the new webversion of cic website it is clearly mention to score 7 in all sections. If not hen minimum 6 band in one; 7 band in two and 8 or more in last section is mandatory.
But there it is not mention what points will be allocated for scoring 7 each in all sections.
This is what i need to understand that by scoring 7 bands in each sections; how much fedral points will be allocated ????
If you fall under the category of Federal Skilled Worker Class applying from outside Canada, the link to be followed for calculating your Language Skills Points is:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#results

The link posted earlier by 'Pharmacistfarhan' is for Canadian Experience Class (CEC), for whom, the eligibility requirements are slightly different from the FSW applying from outside Canada. Hence there is no mention of points gained per ability for IELTS.

Hope it helps.

As per the information you have provided, the current total without calculating your IELTS results is 56 as you have mentioned. You get a very detailed picture of the eligibility criteria and factors that CIC considers for an FSW applicant if you follow the link in my previous response to you. However, I strongly advice you to do an online self assessment test provided by CIC for the benefit of applicants to determine their eligibility. You can find the link below for the same:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assess/index.asp

You may also take a look at the following link:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

Hope it helps.

Sit and browse the web or search on top for ur answers. If u raise a question is it compulsory for someone to answer you.

Well, many a times even experienced members hesitate to comment or respond even if they want to, because a lot of people are so stingy about rating someone 'Good' even if they are useful to them. Look at you for example. Looking at your previous posts, this is not the rating you should have earned by now. Contrary, these experienced members end up getting a lot of negative ratings affecting their reputation in this forum. So, why bother to respond and take a risk if your time and effort are not appreciated!?! How many times have you seen people who take help have helped those who offered them in the past? So,someone who is helping is always at a loss. The only thing if at all they gain would be knowledge of immigration process by doing researches on behalf of the help seeker. Of course, some are least bothered about ratings and some are doing it as a passion.

It is always better not to expect anything in return when you help in real life. But since your entire history in this forum is documented, without any monetary benefit and it can affect your reputation in the long run, this is the minimum courtesy one can expect from the people whom you help. No ratings means you have hardly contributed anything useful or not made an effort to bring any changes in the lives of people whom you interact here. And as a result, in future, people will not take you seriously even after spending so much time - just like how you build up the credit rating in Canada.

If you do volunteer work in Canada, at the end of the day, you will at least get a good reference or good will. I believe, when people start getting a bit more generous in their ratings, automatically more silent members will step forward to offer their helping hand in what ever ways possible by them.

As per the few editions to the posts and few updates,
I conclude that minimum score needed in IELTS for qualifying as a FSW is 6 in each module.

Seniors, please rectify me if I am wrong to it.

thanks for the information.
One more thing for QUEBEC, does an applicant have to accumulate 57 points at the time of applying for the QUEBEC file ?
