IEC - Work Holiday Visa - Passport Renewal

Hi guys,

My GF registered as an applicant for a work holiday visa (IEC). The passport she used for the initial registration expires in 1.5 years.

Is it OK to renew her passport now and use the new passport for the post-ITA phase of her application, or are there risks such as the application being turned down because the passport information of the post-ITA application (new passport) does not match the information provided during registration (old passport)?
