IEC should I reapply?

Hi,

I received a POE letter in December 2016 for Canada from Ireland under the IEC working holiday visa. I never activated the visa as my father took ill and I had to stay home to take care of our farm. I can get proof from a doctor of my fathers illness and that I couldn't use the visa. Is it worth my while reapplying again or will I just be refused?

You cannot apply for the Working Holiday visa stream again. Since you were issued a visa previously, it counts as one participation. Unfortunately it doesn't matter why you didn't use the visa - it counts as one participation regardless and you'll be refused if you apply again.

You can apply again - but only under the Young Professionals or Co-op stream.

Ah - sorry - no, you're not.

I made a mistake. Your only option now is the co-op stream.
