Hello ,

I am 43 years old and able to score hardly 350 points , even after combining the credentials of my wife.

I have 1.5 years of experience on CEC and am currently on work permit within Canada (LMIA exempt work permit).

Can someone please suggest option on increasing my points for my case to be accepted?

Get 2 years of exeprience and increase your English score. You can get a few additional points by doing a French test.

If speaking French, try Ontario PNP French stream, probably you have to redo your EE profile.

Get your foreign education assessed (ECA)

Look for a work with LMIA. Start soon to try to get it, or your wife

Check for PNP programs, trough EE or outside EE, in every province and territory, that you and/or your wife could apply.

Create other profile with your wife as main applicant, including you as dependant, if she can meet requirements.

If you (or your wife) have a supportive employer, you can ask them to apply for an LMIA (no fee for LMIAs that are only to support a PR application).

Alternatively, look at your provincial nominee program.

Thanks Jes. This is an important lead !

Can you point me towards a link or something where I can learn more about the process of supporting LMIA from the employer.

This will help me have a constructive discussion with the potential employers.
