I have gotten hazy answers regarding this in the past, so hoping new people are on board who may have gone through it recently (or seasoned with advice). For a returning PR (accompanying Canadian citizen spouse outside of Canada) when the PR card is long expired. Are there any other options that people have found for getting ID while waiting for a new PR card (60 days...)?

For a drivers license, ICBC requires as primary document one of the following:

*B.C. driver's licence or learner's licence
*BC Services Card (photo)
*Combination driver's licence and BC Services Card
*B.C. identification card (BCID)
*[Canadian] Birth certificate
*Canadian passport
*Canadian immigration identification record
*Identity card Issued by Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade to foreign representatives accredited to Canada.
*Permanent resident card (previously Canadian record of landing)
*Confirmation of permanent resident IMM5292 or IMM5688 are not accepted as primary ID.
*Secure certificate of Indian Status
*Student, work, visitor, or temporary-resident permit (IMM1442)
For MSP, which has a icture and can be used above;

*Record of Landing
*Permanent Resident card
