Hi, I am a temporary foreign worker in Canada and just recently moved in. I am wondering on what my options are in applying for PR? how soon can i apply? I believe i should be able to apply from within canada instead of my home country. Any tips?

Best bet is to join the Express Entry section of the forum and spend a few hours / days familiarizing yourself with Canada's economic immigration programs here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/apply.asp

I would recommend you start by reading about the FSW/Express Entry program, followed by Canadian Experience Class, and then the Provincial Nominee Programs.

Probably around 10 months from the time you submit your application..

You want to have at least 450 points under the EE system to have a good chance of being selected. You'll need to take a language test and have your education officially assessed before you can even submit your profile for consideration (in hopes you are selected).

Also, make sure you understand what takes to say "yes" to the job offer in Canada question and get the 50 points. Right now (with just the ICT) you don't qualify. Again, would recommend you move to the EE section of the forum.
