Guys I am very confused about this whole ICAS evaluation business and would be grateful if you cleared this up for me : I am from Karachi, Pakistan.

1) I must send photocopies of my Matric, Intermediate, certificates plus Bachelors and Masters degrees alongwith consolidated mark sheets of all four of them to HEC. Is this correct?

2) I must include 2 sets of my documents. One to be attested by HEC and the other should be plain?

3) Most important problem is I do not have a credit card. Would it be possible if I asked my brother in Australia to pay on ny behalf, receive the form and send it to me so that I may fill it up and send it to ICAS?

4) Or is it necessary to pay the ICAS fee "after" getting my stuff attested from HEC in a sealed envelope?

I'd be much grateful.

5) Could some one please inform me how much HEC charge for attestation and FedEx for sending my documents to ICAS?

They are continuously extending the processing times even for Applicants who have already submitted their complete documents long back... This is not fair and it should be escalated to their governing body or CIC etc. Does anybody have an idea whom to approach.. or email id etc. ?

I called ICAS on tuesday and spoke with someone i was told is in charge of my evaluation. Shockingly, she sounded as if she is doing me a whole lot of good by evaluating my credentials and cant even give me a definite timeline on the exercise. Mine is over 3 months and all they could tell me is to keep checking my status on their website to follow up with the exercise.

I am considering sending a fresh application to WES...... I dont know any other way around this. I have never been this angry in my life.......EVER

ICAS is indeed a bunch of mess. They are not supposed to be in this business. WES is far better. I made the greatest mistake of my life by using ICAS. I am considering paying WES for the verification. Can we find a way of making this comments know to CIC to de-list ICAS from the list. They are highly frustrating. They have kept my documents for over three months now. Their customer care representatives are very rude and unprofessional.

I must say that you are lucky enough to have your application status moved a bit up. I applied for this on 1 September but the status has not been updated as yet with additional info/documents received whereas my courier service showed that they have been delivered and received on 8th September 2014. Just don't know what's gonna happen.

I sent them an email about the time it takes to review the application for completeness and place it in the queue. My documents had been lying there for the last 20 days. They didnt reply to my email but the next day my status was updated to "application reviewed for completeness and placed in queue for assessment". Now I'm sure they plan to keep it like that for the next 3 months so I sent them another email asking them about whether they will be able to send the report now in ten weeks or not. I asked them to let me know if they cant so that I can send it elsewhere for assessment as well because I still have time for that. Lets see what they have to say now

They replied to my email. Said their "Assessment officers" are currently preparing reports for applications received on or before 24th June. This tells us their processing time is 13 weeks and more and not 10 weeks as committed on their website. I have asked them for a confirmation on whether they will be able to meet the 10 weeks time for me. In the event of an unsatisfactory response, I will forget about this ECA application and go for WES. This has been such a waste of my money, time and mental health.

Fellows....

ICAS is a wrong course for most peeps that used the evaluation body this year. If you just submitted your application i will advice that you quickly apply with WES and follow through the process rather than waiting endlessly for ICAS Report. I applied with the body since may and all my documents got to them mid June. As at today my status is still showing ''Application reviewed for completeness and placed in queue for assessment''

I wish i can express my feelings with words regarding this. Its so painful. My colleagues that started this same exercise with WES long after i started mine got their reports weeks ago. You can imagine how funny that is.

For those that have perched their tent with ICAS for awhile like me, i will advised that you dont stop sending mails to them and keep communicating in any form you can. Just keep asking questions....... dont stop until you get your report out.

The last document already sent since 1st week of September but no update on my profile. They are completely slow and not good to have in this scheme.

I have read forum members report on ICAS and was surprised at what they were
saying about the body.
Please applicants must relax as this is peak period for all evaluating bodies.
I did my evaluation last year with ICAS and I received my report within the 8 weeks
frame time.
No evaluating body can perform magic to fast track any report.
The minimum waiting period for any evaluating body is 6-10 weeks after the completion
submission of required documents.
Just focus on other documents gathering and preparation.
Once your ECA report arrives,then you submit immediately.
Best of luck to potential and existing applicants.

Since september 03 the status is still same. I managed to call them and they said that "your case has been forwarded to senior evaluator for additional research on my program/degree and probably he might contact me although they are not able to comment how long it may take.


I have 2 years Bachelor degree in computer science followed by one year post graduate dimploma (PGD) and then Master degree in IT. My PGD is of 59 Credit hours. My university converted my PGD into Master degree by teaching us additional courses and we have written a thesis of 6 Cr hrs too. As a result now my master degree consist of 33 Cr hrs (14 Cr hrs transferred from PGD and 19 Cr hrs taught in master) as they had only picked 5 courses from PGD out of 20 courses. Moreover we havent awarded with PGD certifiacte as it was transferred although we have been awarded with degree in the end.

I believe that at minimum I should get point for three years post secondry education if not for four years post secondry eduaction.


I would like to ask you does anyone of you have gone through such situation? ICAS is not willing to disclose the twist in my case nor they have contacted me through email. I am really frustrated as I am afraid such delay will jeopardize my chance to apply coz cap will reach sooon.

Any advice?
