Hi guys! I landed in Canada about two months ago. After landing I decided to bring my car from home country to use it in Canada. I have the following questions:
1- Can I still do that if I did not include it in the good to follow list?
2-Am I going to pay tax on it?
3- what are the specification (requirements) of cars that can be imported?
4- Where to contact to have more information on this issue?

any advice is highly apprecaited!

1. I have to assume that you will importing it from the US, otherwise, unless it is over 15 years old you can't.
2. You have to export it from the US, the instructions are here: http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/trade/basic_trade/export_docs/motor_vehicle.xml Note that you need the title or permission from the lender to export it (unlikely) and you need to get a recall letter from the Manufacturer, not the dealer.
3. To see if it is importable, go to www.riv.ca it outlines the steps.
4. Once it is in Canada it will have to be inspected and some modification made, usually seat belt anchor tethers and Daytime running lights.
5. As it wasn't on you GTF list, you may have to pay HST , but it depends on the CBSA officer.
