Amikety- I am a prospective student of U of S. I will be going to Sask this Fall. I would like to know how and when can I sponsor my husband, I mean for a OQP so that he gets to stay withe me there?!

Please advise...

After six months, you should apply for an Open Work Permit for him. As long as he's admissible to Canada and you're in good standing at school, it should be fairly easy (in comparison to other visas). He will still need proof he plans to leave Canada and all other required paperwork.

I don't know nearly as much about the Open Work Permit application as Family Class sponsorship - like many details. You may want to go to the "International Students" section. There are LOTS of threads about this there!
