Hi, I have been living in Turkey for almost 5 years .. I applied for asylum 4 years ago, They first called me from the Immigration Service and they asked me to come in to fill in some information
I went and they asked me many questions,
Then they asked me to wait for a call from them
They called me after about a year and a half. They asked me some questions and told me to wait for another call from them
And now it's been two and a half years since their last contact and I still wait .. I really need help. Thanks

You applied for asylum in Turkey? If so, you may benefit from trying to look for a forum where they talk about Turkey immigration.

Or are you waiting to be resettled? In that case, the wait time is normal. Some people don’t even get resettled.

Ok so my comment stands in terms of resettlement. Unless you have a G5 sponsorship in the works, you may never be resettled. Not sure what they told you but Canada is not guaranteed to be where you go. It will be any safe country.

It does seem like you may have been considered for resettlement in the past but not selected at that time. I would be looking for other options. You can certainly continue to wait and see if you will be selected by a country for resettlement via the UNHCR but the majority of refugees never get resettled u fortunately.
