Got it, thanks a lot, really appreciate your help.

On a different note, my wife who will sponsor me in Canada is still a student and hence does not have an income source. Will that matters in anyway? However, my in-laws will provide a letter that we can live with them till I come and get a decent job.

Is it better to show some savings, lets say 20,000 CAD and tell them that this money will support us when I land in Canada? Or should I ask my wife to find a part-time job while we apply for the PR and show it?

Thanks and regards.

People have successfully sponsored while a student. You don't need an income to sponsor a spouse or partner, but the visa officer wants to see how you will support yourselves, so include an outline of your plans for when you arrive in Canada: the letter from your in-laws offering a place to stay, proof of any savings or investments either of you have, the kind of job you will look for and any qualifications, etc. If she gets a part-time job, that's good too, but include the other evidence as well.
