I need help about BC medical services plan

I left BC in March 2020 to come back to my home country because of the pandemic.

I am currently doing online classes.

I just received an email from Revenue services of BC and it says I need to make a payment of 525 CAD for my monthly medical services plan payment.

I did not know how to cancel it while I was away from BC.

Is there any way for me to get rid of this, because I was not in Canada for the period of time?

And also, how can I cancel MSP? Please help!

You should still notify them when you leave. But this sounds strange, because:

These are likely previous charges that went unpaid but yes you also need to put your MSP on hold.
