I have submitted Medical along with application....

Dear all,
I am a bit confused, and I hope that the seniors here can help.
I received the ITA, and then went for medicals, and have submitted the form(s) given by the doctor to CIC for my two dependents, and for myself.
The status on the application ( I submitted on July 18) is : "No medicals are needed at this time"...

Did I have to go through the upfront medical?
The website suggested that I needed it, hence, I submitted it..
I am currently working IN Canada, on a work permit......
Please advise.

That status is normal, it will change to "passed" eventually.
