It's asking you if you have ever sponsored someone else (other than your husband/wife that you are trying to sponsor now). Have you ever sponsored another spouse/common-law/conjugal partner in the past, a parent, family member, etc to come to Canada and IF SO is that application still pending (no decision yet).

Have you ever applied to be a sponsor before?

If you have are you still waiting to find out if you are approved or refused?

soo basically if my sponsor is sponsoring his father he cant sponsor me.... :-X

no I don't think it means that at all


it is only asking that to check the financial requirements or to see if there was any problems with previous undertakings, not that you can't be sponsored. If your sponsor is already in a sponsorship undertaking the rules might be different, it is out of my area of knowledge if that is the case, sorry!

im his spouse and he has sponsored his father...but no response as yet for his father
