No doubt, everyone remembers the tragedy happened with Robert Dzekanski at the Vancouver Airport.
I have children too and I sympothize with his mother very much.

At the same time, being an immigrant myself, I thought I knew immigration law of Canada quiite a bit but this case, in terms of immigratiion, mystified my a lot!!!

Dzekanski's mother has different from her son's last name because she is married.
Parents can sponsor their adult independent child if only the parent has NOBODY else in Canada, neither spouse nor any other relative...

Then how could Robert Dzekanski's married mother sponsor her 40-year-old son?

I do not see the answer..sorry..Do you mean, first, she sponsored him , and then got married DURING the time of his immigration process? But whether, in such case, she would not lose her right to sponsor a relative?

I am interested how it works in terms of immigration law. Is not it a fraud?

Sponsorship cases are assessed based on the status of those involved at the time the application was submitted.

When she submitted to sponsor her son, she must have met the necessary criteria.
