i I HAVE QUITE A FEW FRIENDS THAT GOT THAT LETTER LAST MONTH,
THERE DEFINATELY SEEMS TO BE A LIMIT THAT WAS REACHED

BASED ON COMMUNICATIONS WITH MY CONSULTANT
THESE PERSONS WILL GET FIRST PRIORTY FOR VISA
AS SOON AS THE NEW YEAR STARTS.

SO MORE THAN LIKELY IT
WILL BE JAN 2011 FOR YOU GUYS

THREE MONTHS//
GOOD LUCK

all the best, guys

I think this is related to something else, may be some sort of fault in the system or whatever. This should not be the Limit has Reached case, as I am reading the following FAQ pertaining to that:

What will happen with applications received after the cap is reached? How will applicants know their application isn’t being processed?
These applicants will be informed, in writing, that their application will not continue for processing and that their processing fees will be returned.

MOABBASI,

THE QUOTA IS NOT RELATED TO THE NEW CAPS POST JUNE 26
THIS IS IN RELATION TO A CAP THAT CIO ALWAYS HAS
AS IT RELATES TO ANNUAL AMOUNT OF VISA ISSUED

USUALLY AT THE END OF THE YEAR CAPS ARE ALREADY FILLED AND SO PERSONS
HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE FOLLOWIN YEAR

SEE: CIC NEWS BULLETIN FOR 2009

AGAIN NOTHING SERIOUS
JUST MORE PATIENCE

"The Minister of Citizenship and Immigration issued instructions which were published in the Canada
Gazette on November 28, 2008. These instructions specify that only applicants who have Arranged
Employment Offers, who are legally residing in Canada and have been there for at least one year as
Temporary Foreign Workers or International Students"

"You are currently working in Canada on a work permit. Your work permit is valid when you apply for a permanent resident visa and;
Your employer has made an offer to give you a permanent job if your application is successful.
Note: Your work permit must be valid at the time your permanent resident visa is issued."(www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG72.asp#factors5

Help pls,

My spouse is currently in canada now on temporary work permit, she got their 1/10/2010 and she is currently waiting for "AOR" from "CIC",she submited application for parmanet residence 08/06/10 and the application was received in sydney on 15/06/10.The work permit just came in miraculously as she have work on it since early 2009.

My query is this,we intend to use this work permit as "arrange employment".she is still expecting"AOR" from "cic" sydney but with a fellow member of forum quoting the 1st quote stated above in is rejection letter from is visa office(London) would it still be good for us to go on as we have plan? The second quote i got from the guide explain notting is bad if she present the work permit for "arrange employment" since she is presently in canada.

please senior your contribution is highly needed.

dont get excited

alot of members have been receiving
decision made in error

often times your local vo will contact you
and correct the problem

does the quota per visa office or cap per NOC apply to FSW only? How about for Provincial nominees, does the quota apply to us too?

thanks

Thanks a lot for keeping this thread going. I was not happy about their email also becuse I have submitted my application in Feb. 2010. It took them way more than normal to make that error.
Another thing I consider. What if I fly no NYC and show up in person to get the visa. Will I have a chance to meet an official that can get my papers and stamp me the visa?
Thanks.

I thought about the options too, it shouldn't be a problems if you're going to Buffalo in person (equipped with PPR) and get your passport stamped. They sent the PPR by mistake or not, it doesn't matter as long as you're not committed to any wrongdoing.

It is now in New York City.

Guys,

Could folks who have received the letter let us know what your eCas status is? Is it still 'In Process' or is it 'Decision Made'..

Thanks,
A.

I am curious. When I submitted my application I had already an employment and I attached the letter to confirm that. That affected my score. About 3 month ago I changed jobs. Do I need to notify them about it? Beacuse based on the recent file form CAIPS they already checked my employment once before. And if I notify them will it effect the processing time? And could the delay of the visa be somehow related to my job change? thanks

Hi everyone.
As you can see they asked for my passports on May. Do you think this the reason why they haven't send my passports back?

I can't believe they keep your passport that long. If something happens, and you need the passport for going back home, what would you do?? I just don't want to be in that situation. I think that you should contact them and ask if they sent back your passport.
Good luck to you
