Hi All,

First of sorry if this is in the wrong forum but I am desperately looking for an answer:

I am a Canadian PR with a multiple US visitor's visa B2. I recently went to the US for the first time via land and obtained an I94 form that was stapled to my passport. It was valid for 6 months.

I surrendered the form to the Canadian official when I left the US ( via land) after a visit of less than 24 hours.

I am now planning another weekend trip to the US but do not have the form.

Did I do the right thing? will I need another I94 form?

Thanks in Advance

You did the right thing. You will need another I-94 when you enter the US. If you travel via land again, just tell the officer you need an I-94 and they will send you inside ... don't worry. Inside, they will have you fill out the form and stamp it and your passport and send you on your way. Take some US cash with you as they charge a few dollars for the form and processing.

Next time, if you know you will be going back to the US again within 6 months you can keep the I-94 and use it for your next trip. Just make sure you turn it in before the 6 months are up!
