Human resources or supervisor?

Hello everyone,

I have a question about the letter of employment.

Does it has to be written and signed by Human Resources? Or can it be done by my manager?

I asked my HR dept to provide me with the letter of employment.

I ask because I will be quitting soon after I make the year mark; I got a job offer from one of the company's competitor so I am not sure if HR will give that letter if I am going to quit since they are not obligated to do so.

That is my plan, I am just curious if CIC will refuse if letter did not come from HR.

The CEC checklist clearly states, "letters must be signed by the responsible officer/supervisor". So HR or a Manager may provide one.
