No wonder why work permits approval is getting so slow. I've applied on Sep 3, 2023, still waiting. Anyone getting wp approved recently, could you share when you submitted your application?

Not recently, but would like to share my experience.

I submitted a closed work permit application back in September 2022. No updates on my application for a year. November 2023, IRCC widrew my application because I already got my PR in May 2023. So, for 1 year and 2 months, IRCC did not touch my application.

Unfortunately, no refund.

I opted in for the PGWP extension temporary policy in April 2023, which was approved immediately. But the new document was never delivered to me. Gckey shows the new document as valid until October 2024. IRCC sent a couple of messages for me to confirm address, which I did.

When I applied for my closed WP in September 2022, the average estimated time was only 140+ days. Around March 2023, that number changed to 150+ days.
