Normally takes about 6 to 8 weeks. Could be longer especially if the employer did not submit proof of recruiting Canadian citizens or permanent residents, in which case the application will stay with the officer and then send it back to the employer with the denial due to incomplete requirements.

HRDC is going to refuse 99% foreign worker applications falling in NOC C & D...

NOC O,A & B level applications should be hopeful to get LMO.

thanks

I was taking about AEO . In AEO employer does not require to prove an attempt to hire a citizen or permanent resident.

Oh okay. I was thinking since the employer must also submit an application for a Labor Market Opinion for the foreign worker he must also go through the process of advertising for the position as all who applies for an LMO. I did not know that it is different if it is for AEO.:(

Yup, just read it again. Only when the employer wants to employ the foreign worker temporarily while the the AEO is in process does he need to apply for LMO.

ya ..... the bottom line is its really taking long ... its been 8 weeks for me . no response , my employer got a letter though, which states that hedc is running late 4-6 weeks . SO overall AEO timeline goes to 10-12 weeks

Hi Simon 123 - Have you received your AEO already? I am also waiting for my AEO which my agent have submitted on 10 Aug 2009. How long was the processing time for your AEO?
