How we can confirm LMIA authentic?

Paying a recruiter is actually one of the fastest ways to get scammed. We see that here all of the time.
Strongly recommend against working with a recruiter unless you are in an extremely specialized field.
That’s funny as I got a job offer just like that myself. I kept on applying forever myself and was getting no interviews. Thanks to paying the recruiter I’ve now got LMIA and waiting for WP.
Maybe you can get a job offer yourself without paying if you are a programmer or so...
But otherwise I’d rather pay and get to Canada then keep on dreaming.
Of course you need to pay a recruiter with recommendations to avoid scammers.
So how long you been waiting then for the work permit.
Assume the employer paid for the LMIA and interviewed you for the job ?

So you will never see that money again. You have been scammed. They cannot block your passport when they and you have not filed anything with Canadian immigration.
This is a scam. They can't block your passport. They are just trying to get money out of you.
