I am really confused. Please help me, how to start the IQAS process. Infact How to start this Immigration process?

- Should I get the transcripts from my university first?
- I have read it somewhere that they want original documents, I am not sure if that's a good idea to send your originals!! Please suggest any other alternative.

First fill the form on IQAS website.

then submit transcript request in your university and ask them to send to IQAS. You can ask University to add your passport photocopy, payment receipt and photocopy of Degree so that you do not have to send another package.

Hi i applied at iqas in july. I had the same apprehension that they require original degree and marksheets, but its not true.
You dont need to send them your original marksheets. Just send them your photocopies.
Just get your transcripts first then go and pay on thier website send all your socuments in a package they will take nearly 6 months for assessment.

Hi Kluthra & all Experts here,

I have a query related to same.

My Universities have sent the documents to IQAS already in an envelope which are in transit and may reach in next 3-4 days.

I wanted to ask as per IQAS website, i also need to send them the photocopies of all documents which i wants them to evaluate.

Just let me know that whether self attestation of documents needs to be done before sending them to IQAS or not.

And, Also, i would be sending them via Registered Post (Indian Postal Services- Govt. one). Would that be fine? Seems they are cheap and reliable. Any guidance on this pl.?

You can send the transcripts on your own in an envelope to iqas.
Only Wes has changed it policy of receiving the transcripts. Now they only accept directly from univ after 1 dec.

Hi
You need to send iqas all the photocopies of all semesters of your marksheets, degree, along with colored photocopy of your passport front and back page, and the iqas form dully filled which they mail you when you pay them the eca fee along with the checklist.

I did not self attest any documents.

About registered post i think it'll take much longer to reach their office i couriered all my documents along with transcripts to their office in canada which costed me 1850 inr which reached them in 4 days. So it depends on your budget whichever way you prefer.
