Hi, everyone
I am asking this question on behalf of my friend.
she is permanent resident and wants to sponsor her nephew, who is outside of Canada now.
she sincerely wants to adopt her nephew, as his parents have some issues and don't want this kid. he is only 5 years old.
in regarding to the adoption process and immigration process, does she need to go back to the child's country of origin and complete adoption there, then submit sponsorship application when she comes back to Canada?
Or can she reside in Canada, and apply intercountry adoption, and then sponsor him?
which is the best way to sponsor her nephew?
Does she always need to get letter of no objection from provincial authority in order to file immigration application?
Thanks
Rachel
