Hi, I am seeking for a way too to bring to my sister (of course once i get my PR).
As far as i understood, if the age is over 18 years old, we can't sponsor them. They have apply on their own merit through like skilled worker etc...

Not if he is over 18:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/relatives-apply-who.asp

But read the part about "Who Cannot Be Sponsored". If he applies as a skilled worker, he will get bonus points for also having a relative in Canada.

Actually, if you decide to settle in Manitoba permanently, you may be able to sponsor your sibling if they meet certain criteria (including language capabilities). See Option D on the following page:

http://www2.immigratemanitoba.com/browse/howtoimmigrate/pnp-eligibility-criteria.html

Also, you may be able to sponsor your sibling (no matter where you live in Canada) if you meet the following criteria:

"Note: you can sponsor one relative regardless of age or relationship only if you do not have a living spouse or common-law partner, conjugal partner, a son or daughter, parent, grandparent, sibling, uncle, aunt, nephew or niece who could be sponsored as a member of the family class, and you do not have any relative who is a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident or registered as an Indian under the Indian Act."

I want to do the same thing too. I wish there's an easy way to sponsor my younger brother to come to Canada. Let's share each other's opinions and experiences. Thanks

If you live in Manitoba or Saskatchewan, you can sponsor them through family stream as long as you both meet all requirements of the PNP. Otherwise, there is the "one other relative" clause scylla talked about.

You can if you sponsor your parents and they add your brother as a dependant on their sponsoship. If they're under 22, they need to be unmarried and dependant on your parents. If they're over 22, they need to be studying full time ever since attaining the age of 22 and also fully dependant on your parents.

The problem however is that Parent Sponsorship has been closed and they will start accepting new applications in two years.
