1. TRV - If you are already in Canada, use this form http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5257E.pdf ,
details: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/ottawa.asp
2. Study Permit Renewal -Fill up 'Application to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada as a Student' http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5709E.pdf

I'm sorry, I don't understand?

When I clicked the application 1 above and go into the instruction they said:
"This application guide is designed for persons who wish to apply for a temporary resident visa from outside Canada."
Here is the website that I read the instruction

wait! one more question! we can renew visa inside Canada, right?

Yes, you can.

The ISC (Int'l Students Centre) of my university that I passed from lists nicely what you need to know:
http://www.uwindsor.ca/isc/visas

We always followed it and never had any issue re: revewing visa or permit.

Thank you very much!

I was frighten because I called my International student institution in Edmonton, Canada and they said that I have to go back to my country to renew my visa?!

no you don't have to go back to your country to renew the visa...I renewed mine last year....get the study permit extension first and then once you receive your new study permit apply to CPP-Ottawa for a Transit resident visa.

Total cost for both - around $350 (postage and taxes included)

Excuse me again,

In the Application for Temporary Resident Visa [IMM 5257] in the Details of visit to Canada, question 3: Funds available for my stay in Canada. I wonders what kind of funds is that? :-/

You can enter your bank balance and include proof from your bank as well. Better to have at least $2000(the higher the better).

Yours... it wouldn`t hurt to also include that of your sponsor(hope you have some proof of the funds).

Thank you SenoritaBella,

Is that the bank account of me or the person who finance me?

Thank you SenoritaBella again,

This is the first time I renew my visa as well as study permit; thus, I may ask a lot of absurd questions, then please excuse me.

In the website that Rossei had provided me http://www.uwindsor.ca/isc/trv

There are two kind to complete the progress of renewing Visa.
To apply online, it requires a bank statement. (Is this funds available for me in Canada? Or is it mean something else?)

To apply by mailing does not require bank statement? Why? However in the form it requires "Funds available for my stay in Canada", is this the same? And if we still need proof for this, right?

Or we have to do it online and then mail it? Or this is two different options?

Thank you for your attention,
I may ask more question!

In your case, you have 2 options to apply - online or by mail. The forms are the same, no matter which option you choose.

Yes, "funds available for your stay" is the same as the one you saw in question 3. Proof is required.

If you can afford it, I recommend you get an immigration lawyer to help you so that you do it right.

Thank you very much SenoritaBella :P

Do I have to provide a specific number or just leave blank and provide proof only?
