hi there

my main question is how can my brother-in-law (who lives in Pakistan) apply for a study permit with out getting rejected!! please see below for more detail of the situation

my brother-in-law has done the same education as my husband! except for the master he is enrolled in. he has a degree in computer engreeing, he has worked with couple of telecommunition companies but is now working at an oil company and doing well. he is enrolled in a master program in pakistan but have stopped now as he want to do master in canada, which will be of more value in pakistan. so he decided he will do a small course like a diploma first to make sure and understand the way of education here, so if doesnt do well in diploma he wont waste money doing master in canada and just continue the master in pakistan.

he has been accepted for the 2 year program, Business Admin Diploma as of mar 11/09 by Yukon College. we will be paying for all his fees, his expenses and he will be living with us. we live in Whitehorse yukon, my husband has a full time job as a manager. we know that we have to send our bank balance and have to pay the fee paid in advance for the full 2 years.

we have been searching and seen that most people are getting rejected by the islamabad visa officer lady by the same 2 reason-- you wont come back and you can do the same thing in pakistan.
but with us it different he will go back as he is the head of the family, since his dad passed away and my husband moved here (whitehorse yukon) with me. the rest of his family (mother , sister and brother live in pakistan. his mom also work as a teacher in pakistan, his brother is in universitiy, and sister is disabled) so you can see he has to go back to pakistan.

can u help me in satisfying the visa officer so he/she doesnt get the same letter with the same 2 reason of rejection.

we are very afraid of having a rejection on the passport plus we have worked really hard for the money that will go to waste if he get rejected.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!
Thanks

Dear Known:

First of all, your Brother -in-law (who is in pakistan) needs to carefully understand the course (diploma) he enrolled in Yukon College. Mostly applicant has to convice the Visa officer that the education what he is going to persue, is not available in Home Country. Let's say this Business Administration Diploma contains some credits of Statistical Applications or Quantitative Methods or Derivatives etc. and these courses are not available in pakistan then He can convince Visa Officer with this fact that this specialized knowledge is necessary for my career plans and unfortunately not available in any institute in Pakistan. Make sure whatever course he select is a bit technical, convincing and relates to Course he got admitted in.

Second thing is that instead of you pay on behalf of him or provide your bank statement, remitt the money in his pakistani Bank account and he needs to claim himself as self funded aspirant for education which is not available there.

Third thing, While filling the forms or during visa interview, as you are not Blood relative, He should never say or disclose that he has a relative there in Canada.

After these things chances are very less that he will get rejected..
