How to interpret Canada PR Visa

Hi there,

I just received Canada PR on 17th June 2019 and I got stamping on my passport with a validity only upto 17th September 2019. I do not know how to interpret that? What does that mean? How can I apply for PR card being here in India only? There are several questions I have which I do not have any answers. Kindly help me out.

You can't. you need to make your first landing first then your first PR card will arrive within 10-20 days after your landing. This is only true if you physically travelled and there no way you can get your PR card before that. Your COPR and IM1 visa sticker are just your ticket to Canada and you are still not considered a PR until you do your first landing.

You are not a PR yet, what you’ve got is a PR visa that allows you to travel to Canada and become a PR (this process is known as landing).

What the date on the visa means is that you only have until that day to physically go to Canada otherwise the whole process will be canceled.

You need to land in Canada on or before the date of expiration of the visa. PR card can only be applied after landing procedure is completed. It is generally applied on the spot where the procedure has been going on.
