Ok so my friend has been living in canada since 4 years, she came on student visa, could not complete her studies, she extended her student visa twice but still not attented the school. Her visa expires on feb 22-2019 and she wants to go back to her home country now (india). Question is where should she go if she wants to go back. I mean, just book a flight and go back?
I dont know much about these things so please tell how can she go back now.
Thank you

They will ask where she’s going at check in and confirm she’s got the correct visa or passport. They will check her passport. Canada doesn’t have immigration controls when exiting. She will talk with airline and security staff. She may encounter CBSA doing random checks. Make sure she declares any amount over $10,000 when she leaves.

Unless she is selected for a random check, she should be able to go without restriction or human interaction, once she clear the check in procedures.

Will they check for her credit? She has taken 2300$ from 3 cards

Nobody really cares when you catch a flight out of the country about what anyone has on credit cards but I guess if she ever wants to come back to Canada maybe should still plan to pay off the debt at some point given it is her responsibility to do so even though not a massive amount.

CBSA are only interested if someone tries to leave with more than 10k CDN cash without declaring but even then there would need to be a random check or some intelligence.
