If the college/course is a Designated Learning Institution (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/prepare/designated-learning-institutions-list.html), then you will get a one year Post Graduate Work Permit when you graduate.

If you work for a year in Canada in a NOC 0, A, B job, you usually have enough points to get selected for Express Entry (depending on all the other factors such as language skills, age, etc.)
thank you

All Depends on your profile. Because for express Entry you need Good Points. For Instance, if you just pass 12th and go for a one-year diploma course than differently, you are not eligible for Express Entry.

One more thing is, Points are the same for one and two years program the only benefit for Two Year Program is Long Work permit validity which plays a major role to get PR card. Because Canadian Work Experience will help you to gain more points for Express Entry.

For More details Please use this CRS Calculator:- https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Yes, that gives you much more time to get the necessary experience, and you'll have a better chance of getting a job with two years of study in a Canadian school.

The downside of course is cost and time. If that's not an issue, the two-year programs are usually the right choice for most people.

yeah, the cost is really huge but somehow the benefits are pretty cool as well...

How many years of pgwp will one get with a 2yr diploma? I saw on the cic website, it says the pgwp will be the same length as the study program, but some say 3 yrs?
