Hi,

I have a question about getting the police certificate for Mexico.

The situation is the fallowing:

Husband is in Peru, applying through Lima office. He has lived in Mexico for a period of about 1 year, in two different states: D.F. and Baja California. He has been asked by the embassy to send in a "Certificado de Antecedentes Policiales de Mexico".

I understand how to go about getting the federal police certificate.

I am a little confused about the one from the states.

He lived most of the time in D.F.. I understand that a State certificate is not needed for those from D.F., that the federal police certificate, is sufficient.

I wonder if he needs one for Baja California even if he lived there for less than 6 months.

If he does need one:

- First, how should I go about that considering that we are both living outside of Mexico, and we can not go there physically easily. On the website it seems to implicate that one needs to physically go to some office.
- He is not Mexican, and has no Mexican ID issued. On the web site it asks for very specific ID that he has never had.
