How to get passport back in person at the NY office

I still havent received my passport.
I need to travel to India soon..like next week.
My documents reached the NY office on April 8.
I went there in person to withdraw my application on May 22.
They said they'll send it to me instead of handing t over to me then and there.
It's MAy 31 and there is no sign of my passport.
I'm getting anxious with every passing day..I really have to go home..

Has anyone gotten their documents back in person?
How did you get your passport back at the office?? What did you do?

I have the same problem. My passport received by consulate on May 8, 2013. Even I have to fly Canada on June 8 and then India on June 16. How do I contact the consulate to talk to customer representative? When I called the contact no provided by embassy failed to get in person contact. Please help me.
