hi guys and girls

we (me and partner) applied for PR under CEC in mid May, and all we heard from the Immigration Office was an email in mid July stating that they received our application and payment.

Now, my work permit expires at the end of September, and i am self-employed.

My questions are:

1) does that email suffice for me to apply for an open bridge work permit?
2) if answer to 1) is no, what can I do to apply for a permit
3) worst case scenario, can I apply for a temporary visa (no work) until our application gets processed?

Note - my business is a tutoring business in Toronto, have a website and students that I teach on a regular basis

Thank you!

the letter is smth like this

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada under the Canadian Experience Class.

Upon review of the information you have provided, your application is considered complete based upon the requirements of the Instructions and Regulation 10 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA).

Your application will be forwarded to a visa office for further processing.

Yes, that is the AOR, or "acknowledgement of receipt." For the CEC program, that meets the criteria of "approval in principal" for the BOWP application. You must apply before your work permit expires...
