Hello,

My spouse and I got married in 2011 and she came to canada as a PR in May 2012. I sponsored her under spousal sponsorship. She had previously worked in Singapore from where she is. How should I file taxes for her. My questions are:

1. We are going to file taxes together, what should I report for her income.

2. Do I need to report her income? If so under what section. (Is it foreign income?)

3. Is it fine if I report her income "0(Zero)".

Could somebody help me out with this please.

Thank you in advance.

1. Report any income she made IN Canada.

2. If she made money, it has to be reported. It would not be foreign income, as she would have made it in Canada. It would be reported as normal income

3. Only if she made $0.
