My wife has no income and she is trying to sponsor me. I have a job in the states and have some savings. Anyone has been in my situation? Like she has no job, she is a student. Outland app.

She doesn't need to show income - there is no income requirement for spousal sponsorship.

Has she ever worked or filed taxes or has she been a full time student always? If she has, submit a last notice of assessment from CRA and explain her schooling with appropriate proof. Mention your job and how you plan to support yourselves once back in Canada (your profession and jobs you both could likely do etc)

This is the old process, since the forms changed with the new announcement, I am not that familiar on the new proofs but I doubt it would change all that much for a Canadian spouse or resident. People who are part of the process now with the new application package can help add to the suggestions.

Incorrect. There is no minimum income requirement to sponsor a spouse but a couple must still show that they have sufficient financial means to support themselves in Canada without welfare.

As I said above, you guys need to show IRCC that you can support yourselves without welfare. You can show this through any combination of your income, her income potential, savings, investments, family assistance etc. Write a solid plan on how you will support yourselves.

Thanks for the clarification Canuck_uk, I meant to say no minimum income requirement! :)
