It would be more helpful if you provide more information about your work experience - what type of job and what are your duties

Thanks for your reply!

I am into software development, my role varied , as initially when I came in 2012 for 8 months , I had the title of Project Manager but my work was of technical. Currently I came back in 2014 starting on Lead role which is completely technical.

As my degree is not in IT or computers , I am from mechanical background but my total work experience in IT is nearly 10+ years. I am pretty confused which NOC I belong too and don't have any guidance for where to start with the process of filling my PR under Canadian experience class .

Any help is appreciated .

you determine your NOC based ONLY on the job duties and responsibilities in the NOC - they should correspond closely (not identically) with the job duties and responsibilties in your Letter of Employment. Job title, education - don't worry so much about those.

Thanks for response.

I had given my IELTS examination in Dec2012 , at that time it was valid for 2 years i.e. DEC 2014. But I am not sure if I apply this month will it hold good or will I have to again give IELTS.
I had obtained an overall score of 7 in DEC 2012.

If you apply this month, it is less than 2 years, yes, the scores are good.

Thanks for your reply.

I have been to other countries , for more than 6 months how should I get police verification done for these countires?. Like I have been to UAE for more than 6 months , but I don't know anybody over there now not even the place I use to stay as it has been nearly 10 years back when I went there for work.

I have been to US for nealry 1 year , but not a single stretch . First I came to US in 2007 Dec till April 2008 . 2nd time I came to US was in OCT 2008 till Jan 2009 and third last year for 2 months . Do I need to go police verification for US also .

And how to get the verification done, is there any external agency through which we can get the verification done or is there any site where how to get these process done so that I can go through that and start it so that by the time my papers are processes I can get these documents .

Any help is appreciated.?

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/infORmation/security/police-cert/index.asp

Unfortunately, you have to approach each country individually. There are some services out there that do this for certain countries, but they usually specialize in one region, and cost $$$.

Chances are very good that CIC will request the FBI certificate, so you might as well just do it.

As for UAE, it can be difficult, you can search this board, many others have been in the same position...
