Hi

I want to know how to count experiance for CEC.
Candidate has to work 30 hrs week minimum 52 weeks or total number of hours matter in 1 year. As i worked 40 hrs week for 1 year but in between there is a week i worked 29 hrs so i want to know i have to work one more week extra to complete that 1 hour or not.
As i always get biweekly paystub so my all 1 year paystub showing more than 70 hrs biweekly and one showing 63 hrs out of 26 paystubs.
I am so confused.Please help

hours in excess of 30 will not count....so you will just count your no of weeks.

Work experience must be acquired over a period of at least one year; work in excess of 30 hours per week over a shorter period cannot compensate for any shorter overall period of experience.

You will have to make up your hours for wks that you worked less than 30 hrs/wk. Keeping mind though, that you cannot borrow any hours from wks that you worked over 30 hrs. It is always good to have a few extra weeks as a buffer to be on a safe side. It would also be wise to have a letter explaining how you calculated your wks, especially your hrs varies from week to week. Also, make sure your reference letter corresponds with your calculation of hours :)

Biweekly pay is fine, they will just consider 60+ hours.

Also Pay slips aren't compulsory, you really only need your reference letter and NOA+T4.

This is incorrect - your pay period has nothing to do with the hours calculation.

If you worked 29 hours during a week, this would be considered a part time week, and you should work an additional part time week of at least 1 hour (or a full time week) to meet the eligibility requirement.

Any week you work more than 30 hours only counts as 1 full time week, and does not "roll over" to a week that you worked less than 30 hours.

How so? As far as I'm aware pay slips aren't needed with the application and are only considered as additional information.

I meant your first statement, that they will consider the hours based on a 2-week cycle (i.e. 60 hours) is incorrect. Regardless of how you are paid (daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly), the calculation is on a week by week basis.

Pay-stubs are indeed optional as per the documentation checklist.
