Hi everyone. I need advice on how to cancel supervisa for my dad. Yes, unfortunately I have to cancel it due to his abusive behaviour towards my mom and everyone else at home. He promised he will be a good person and I brought him to Canada together with my mom.They have been living here for 1.5 yrs. He was always abusive back home, but I was thinking he changed, after all he is in his 50s now and I was expecting him to get better. My mom recently opened up to me and said he is beating her since their arrival. She didnt want to tell me not to disturb. Unfortunately she doesnt have much evidence except for one picture where her face is not visible. I talked to him as soon as I learned what was going on,he is acting when I am around,when I am not he is abusing her verbally now. Their 2 year is coming to an end soon and I dont want to send my mom with him,since he already told her he will beat her asap they are back home. I want to cancel his supervisa so that he doesnt come back to Canada again and my mom can live happily at least from now on. I’ll also seek a legal advice,just wanted to know from your experience here. Thank you everyone!

You can contact IRCC and withdraw the supervisa but if they applied together the whole supervisa will be withdrawn. It is unlikely to have any effect on their current visitor status at the moment but would not be able to enter on subsequent visits. You should be working with a lawyer and involving the police.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It indeed is very devastating and hard to accept. Hope Canada has a solution for cases like this one, where we can report and withdraw the visa. My mom is scared for her life and I want to solve this issue as peaceful as possible.
Well, canadian law applies regardless of his status in Canada. You could ( not that I don’t get the conflict this might present) report him to the authorities if you’re truly serious about protecting your mom.
That is the long term plan ofc. Now my mom is under my protection, but he is still verbally abusing when I’m not around. Im trying to find the best solution without waking him up. Otherwise he is capable of doing worse things. I dont know what will happen after reporting him,since they came together to Canada they might send my mom back home,too. She doesnt have a permanent status in Canada, which meanwhile Im trying to get and sponsor her for PR.

The police will only be able to provide a restraining order which does not allow the abuser to contact the person being abused. In reality many abusers ignore the restraining orders so you can’t count on the police and must take your own measures to try to protect yourself. If your mother is being abused you should be working with a domestic abuse non-profit to create a plan to report the abuse and create a protection plan because reporting abuse is one of the most dangerous times for women or other family members.
You may want to apply a new super visa or visitor visa with your mom ONLY on it.
Think that is the only option. Don't believe it will be possible to cancel just the father especially if the father is the primary applicant and the mother is the dependent.
