Hi,

Here is my friend's profile. He still is an international student in Canada but searching on his PR possibilities: 26 years old , did a bachelor's degree from India and have 1 year India(foreign work experience as a developer) Noc 2175 Category A. He came to Canada for a one year post grad. diploma. But now he is in a confusion and wants to save $15,000-16000 of not taking one more course which will give him no value in career but just help him get 3 year post graduate work permit instead of 1 year. Post grad. work permit rule is for 1 year study you get one year post work experience permit and for 2 (1+1) year diplomas you get 3 year Post Grad. work permit.
So if he applies for a Post graduate work permit after his 1st diploma and works for full 1 year in Canada as a Store Supervisor 6211 Category B, Will he gets points for Foreign as well as Canadian Experience as shown in CRS tool below. CRS tool doesn't ask about NOC codes to get more clarity on this.

In this situation, if he is able to gain 1 year work experience Skill level B under Canadian Experience Class (Express Entry) and has to return to India as visa permit is expiring. (Question 1) Can he still apply in Canadian Experience class from India with Canadian Experience or there is an obligation to be in Canada to qualify under Canadian Experience Class?

Here is his score, with CLB 8 in IELTS. (Question 2) Please advise if this CRS tool calculation is correct even if NOCs are different for jobs performed. Thanks
