I have 8 years of experience into software testing and am unmarried. How to apply / publicise my profile in canada job bank. Pointers are much appreciated..

Unless you're applying from within Canada your chances are next to nothing (sorry to burst the bubble). Still, you may try the job boards such as Monster, Indeed, Workopolis and so on.

It is very easy. You apply for a bunch of jobs, interview on phone and on site, impress the employers and then get a sack of offers. :p



But wait, LMIA, oops :eek:

Try indeed.ca is the best , but yes outside Canada is very difficult , actually i'am leaving in Canada for one year and I only got a job throught an employment agency and is in a warehouse i'm permanent at full time now, hired directly by the company but yeah it's very difficult man, at least in Ontario.

The real crux in this issue is applying for LMIA is very risky to employers in legal perspective, therefore making it almost impossible for white collars to get LMIA.
I am quite sure CIC is not hunting for blue collars only so they have to do something to fix this.
