How to activate 2nd year CIC Work permit

Hi,
Has anyone had any experience in the new CIC work permits? When I applied for this (I am from the UK) it was advertised as a 2 year visa which would need to be re-activated at the end of the first year.
My first year doesn't end until May but I wanted to be clear on what I need to do for the 2nd year. I can't find the information anywhere on the CIC website.
Has anyone successfully activated their 2nd year?
Any info would be much appreciated.

IEC for the UK hasn't opened yet. See: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/united_kingdom-royaume_uni/experience_canada_experience/index.aspx?view=d It will be a 2 stage process this year, see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2013/ob490.asp
