Hello everyone,

I will graduate this year on April 2022 amd my passport will expire on January 2024, its difficult for me to go back to my country to renew my passport for military reasons. Do you think I have enough time to get the PR if my passport will expire on January 2024?

You could renew your passport from Embassy if there is one. Otherwise your pr card will be valid till date on your passport, considering you get PR within 2 years which isn’t easy.
PR card validity has nothing to do with passport validity. OP will still get a five year PR card even if the passport is expiring in one year (for example).

It's hard to say.

It depends on how soon you expect to qualify and be selected / invited for PR. If you need a year of work experience in Canada in order to qualify and be selected for PR, then you'll be cutting things very close and may not have enough time.

Do you mean I will not have enough years in my passport? Haven’t you said in your first reply that the validity of passport has nothing to do with the PR?

It's not possible to say for certain either way. You may have enough or you may not.

And no, I did not say that the validity of the passport has nothing to do with PR.

Read my response above again. I said that the passport validity has nothing to do with the validity of the PR card. This is completely different than the PR process itself.

You need to have a valid passport to complete the PR process.

I have to have a valid passport even if for only one month, is that correct?
Your passport normally needs to be valid for at least six months once the PR process has been completed and IRCC is ready to issue the PR visa.
